Reading has always been a huge part of my life. When I was a child reading was my escape. Its what I did before I went to bed, on the train, during downtime while were on holiday; you get the picture. It was during this time I began re-reading different books, some of which I still read today. Obviously, I have found a few favourites as I went along. So today I’m sharing my top 5 Childhood favourite books.

The Alchemist: Cardiff Bloggers Social

Last Wednesday I attended my first Cardiff Bloggers Social at The Alchemist, Cardiff. I was fairly nervous going because I’m not comfortable in new places and with new people. However, it was extremely friendly. Kacie from The Rare Welsh Bit; who organised the event, was so welcoming and immediately made me feel at ease.

It was a wonderful chance to meet other bloggers from around Cardiff. During this event, I was able to meet many different people.

The Red Queen by Christina Henry

If you’ve already read my review about Christina Henry’s Alice you know how much I loved that book! When I discovered that she’d written a sequel, The Red Queen this went straight to the top of my TBR pile.¬†

Unfortunately, I wasn’t as taken by this book as the first one. It’s not that it was bad, or that I didn’t enjoy. Compared to Alice, which is such a different take on the original tale and that was so dark and creepy that this one didn’t live up to my expectations.

Going Vegetarian: Starting the Journey

As you may have read in my New Beginnings¬†post last month, Conor and I made the decision to go vegetarian a few months ago. Today I thought I’d share a quick post about why we made this decision and how it’s going so far, for anyone who’s possibly thinking about cutting out or reducing meat. Or for anyone who is particularly curious.
