27 things I've learnt in 27 years

This week I turn 27. As a reflection on the past years, here are 27 things I’ve learnt in 27 years. I’ve seen other people post these style posts before and enjoyed them. So here’s my list.

-Be yourself

-Get rid of toxic people in your life

-Do what you love

-Don’t be ashamed of your flaws

-Chase your dreams, no one’s going to hand them to you

-Broccoli is evil

– Rummers are amazing. They tell you things about yourself you never knew

-It’s better to have a small group of close friends rather than a large group of acquaintances

-You don’t have to like everything those around you like

-Treat everyone with kindness


-Respect is earnt not given blindly

-Push yourself, trying something new is how you grow

-Be grateful for what you have

-Capture moments, take more photos and videos of your adventures

-Get outside and explore nature

27 Things I've Learnt in 27 Years

– Never stop learning

-Life is to short to work a job you hate

-Trust yourself

-Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish

-Ask for help if and when you need it

-Saying no is healthy

-It’s okay not to have your life figured out

-You may have been hurt in the past but things get better

-There’s always more to learn

-It’s never too late to start something new

– You never know what’s around the corner so keep an open mind
