As you may have read in my New Beginnings post last month, Conor and I made the decision to go vegetarian a few months ago. Today I thought I’d share a quick post about why we made this decision and how it’s going so far, for anyone who’s possibly thinking about cutting out or reducing meat. Or for anyone who is particularly curious.

Why Vegetarian?

Let’s start with the burning question that’s going through everyone’s mind.

I love makeup and beauty. Check out my Top 5 Makeup Wish List for proof of this! However, I can be lazy. Most of the time I like things that are quick, easy, or just make my life that little bit simpler. This is where eyebrow tints come in! Eyebrows are one of the things I love and hate in equal measures (very much like nails, but that’s another story.) I like how they look,

Have you ever read a book that has left you disappointed, yet still wanting more? This is how I felt at the end of Dollhouse by Anya Allyn. I read the very last line of the story and found myself thinking what? Why has it finished here? However, it did make me really want to know what was happening next in the sequel. It was frustrating yet intriguing at the same time.

I enjoyed the whole concept of the book.

Now I know what you’re thinking! New Beginnings, isn’t this something I was reading in January. New Year, New Me and all that. This is a bit like that but let’s call it more like a Mid Year Review, or a hello! I’m back, this is where I’ve been, what I’ve been doing and what my plans are.

Have you seen the latest Disney Film Christopher Robin? I went to see it the other day. As soon as I saw the trailer I knew I wanted to see it. It felt reminiscent of the old Winnie the Pooh films with a modern adaptation and a timeless storyline.

I was reminded of the 1991 film Hook starring Robin Williams within the ideas behind it and the basic story. Overall Christopher Robin was one of the most heartbreaking and heartwarming films of all time.

I’ve had a year of ups and downs but I thought I’d share with you some positive things that have happened.

Getting Back into Reading

As many of you may have guessed I’m an avid reader. I always have been, I can’t remember not enjoying books. But as often happens as I grew older, my workload got heavier through GCSE’s, A Levels and University I found myself reading less and less and I know this is true for many people. So I’ve put together some tips for getting back into reading.

Tip #1 Choose your medium.
