Unusual Date Ideas
Since this month is February and everywhere is all about Valentines Day. I thought I’d join in and share some unusual date ideas with you. Since while I’m writing this I encountered a wonderful brain freeze moment. I reached out to other bloggers. Through that, I have compiled this list.
1: Make Your Own Pizza.
Making your own is a cheap alternative to a takeaway. If you don’t want to wait for the dough to rise (or forgot about that part as I do…often) be sure to check out this No Rise Pizza Dough Recipe. Everything will be made much quicker!
2: Volunteer Together
Whether it’s going to your local animal shelter walking the dogs or at a nature reserve planting trees. Volunteering is a wonderful way of getting out together while giving back somehow.
3: Go out for Afternoon Tea
I really enjoy doing this. I think it’s something a bit different than going out for dinner. It can sometimes be on the pricy side, but if you find the right place you can get quite a bit for your money.
4: Take a Class Together
This option is so open and varied you can fit it into any price budget or interest. Some of my favourite ideas I’ve seen are Cake Decoration, Archery, and Learning the Ukulele to name a few. I’m sure you can find something you will bother enjoy on a date.
5: Be adventurous.
So many options are now available to you. Zip Lining, Trampolining, Indoor Sky Diving, Go Ape and so many more. Going somewhere on a date where you’ll make memories I always feel are the best things to do.
And finally, this isn’t really a single date, but more an idea of how to keep dates going. Joseph Seager from Thrifty Chap told me that his wife got him a date jar for Christmas. This was partly to help them have dedicated time together each month. I thought it was such a cute idea! You could put in whatever you like, and it can take the pressure of deciding where to go, or what to do.
Have I missed anything out? What’s the most unusual date you’ve ever been on? Will you be trying out anything I’ve mentioned today. Let me know in the comments.
